Body black pimples, often called blackheads, are clogged pores filled with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria that oxidize and turn dark when exposed to air. They commonly show up on the back, chest, shoulders, thighs, and even behind the ears — areas with active oil glands and frequent friction.
The most common triggers include excess sweat, tight clothing, shaving irritation, hormonal changes, and heavy skincare or body products that clog pores. Poor exfoliation and lingering sweat after workouts can also make blackheads on the body much worse over time.
While body black pimples aren’t dangerous, squeezing them can lead to inflammation, scarring, or infection. Gentle exfoliation, non-comedogenic body washes, and consistent hygiene usually help keep them under control — and stubborn cases often respond well to targeted skincare ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
