An ear pimple can form on the outer ear, in the ear canal, or behind the ear — and it’s usually caused by clogged pores, excess oil, or bacteria. Because the skin around the ear is thin and sensitive, even a small pimple can feel painful or swollen.
If the pimple becomes very painful, swollen, or filled with pus, or if it affects your hearing, it’s best to see a doctor — it could be an ear infection or a deeper cyst that needs medical care.
